MEICO system's

The company was founded in 1993 by Ing. Jiri Meissner as a purely Czech company with no investments from abroad. The company’s main sphere of activity was – besides solving general problems in IT – particularly original and applied solutions in the field of communication and data transmission. From the very beginning of the introduction of the GSM network technology, MEICO system's extended its activities in this direction. The company participated in the building of many base stations and antenna systems. After 1995, we have provided the deliveries and installations of steel tube masts, produced in the Czech Republic based on the know-how of the Swiss company Letrona AG. The masts are fitted with safety equipment for working at heights of the SÖLL system manufactured by Sperian, France (before also known as Bacou-Dalloz), for which our company has been an agent in the Czech Republic since 1996. We have also been an agent of Daimler-Benz Aerospace since 1996, the Dornier division, in the field of mobile telescopic masts; in the same area we have established cooperation with Kathrein and since 1997 also with Vickers-Bürkli.

For Sperian MEICO system's provides comprehensive services in the Czech Republic in the field of fall protection systems and health and safety at work and performs all activities connected with the construction of SÖLL height access systems for masts, chimneys and tower buildings, as well as for access to shafts, silos, etc. We provide our services at all levels, from consulting of security through the design of complex constructions, to provision and transport of necessary material including its delivery to the destination. We perform complete installations of all necessary security system components for vertical access paths, for the horizontal Xenon security system for working at heights, including supplies of personal protective equipment and rescue systems for workers. We also provide appropriate professional introductory and further periodical training courses and periodical inspections of complete systems, including personal protective equipment. MEICO system’s has installed more than 3,000 above mentioned fall protection systems until now on sites of Czech operators, i.e. Telefónica O2 Czech Republic, T-Mobile Czech Republic a Vodafone Czech Republic.

Since 1997 MEICO system's has participated in the installations of antennas and construction of GSM base stations. We also developed a mobile BTS station on a two-axle chassis, equipped with a telescopic mast suitable for all GSM technology by Nokia, Motorola, Siemens and Ericsson, or possibly Nortel. The stations are air-conditioned and fitted with backup power supplies – storage batteries or power packages with Kubota gensets. Originally, we equipped mobile base station with additional diesel generator only; nevertheless, to mount it inside the container proved better. Our technicians have met with number of products (e.g. of Caterpillar, Lister Peter, Panda, etc.) and have thus comprehensive experience due to lots of tenders we have taken part until now. We provide comprehensive maintenance for our mobile stations as well as overhauls of diesel generators. We also ensure the operation of our stations by periodically refuelling the power package with transport of fuel to the current place of operation of the station. MEICO system's has produced more than 70 pieces of Mobile Base Station until now largely designed for mobile operators in all of Europe (e.g. T-Mobile Czech Republic Plc., Vodafone Czech Republic Plc., Telefónica O2 Czech Republic Plc, Orange Poland, T-Mobile Slovakia, Orange Slovakia, etc.).

MEICO system's produces tailored steel constructions for Engineering and Construction as well as parts of technological unit. We supply antenna systems steel constructions for telecommunication networks including constructions and installations engineering, we also provide jobbing production according to customer’s need. Our products have of course anti-corrosion surface cover by galvanizing or sprayed coating. In case of steel constructions installations in place of destination, MEICO system's ensure all conversions.

Our focus: designing, manufacture, and assembly of steel structures, development and manufacture of electronic devices for telecommunications, and manufacture and servicing of mobile base stations including the installations of power packages with gensets, distribution and assembly of SÖLL fall protection systems, personal protective equipment supplying and revision, safety, security and health at work training.

The company keeps good manufacturing facilities - workshops for the manufacture of structures with an area of 900 m2 in Prague 10 – Sterboholy, a sales stock with an area of approx. 600 m2 for machine cutting and final assembly with a materials and products store in Prague 10 – Zabehlice. Moreover, the new assembly hall in Nehvizdy (10km from Prague, near the highway D11) with 1000 m2 of floor space will be open as latest in the middle of 2010. The place of business is situated in the company’s building in Prague 10 – Strasnice, Na Hroude 27. The head-office is situated in Prague 10 – Zabehlice, Pred Skalkami I 3187/3.
